About Us

Under the leadership of Ravishankar Bhooplapur, Chairman of the Gift of Life, India Foundation, this operation was launched on November 14, 2002, and has successfully completed more than 300 surgeries in various parts in India.

The Gift of Life program began in 1976, when a young Rotarian from Manhasset, NY, Rotary Club District 7250, responded to a plea for help from the Kampala Rotary Club in Uganda. Five-Year-Old Grace Agwaru needed life saving open-heart surgery.

Gift of Life India is a Non Profit charity that is committed to medical care to those who are suffering from congenital heart  disease and other ailments. We primarily want to save children in India and around the neighboring countries regardless of race, creed, or gender.
